The Herd Is Always Talking…We Just Need To Tune In.
Meg Vanderbilt began studying the herd as a teenager. Her passion for horses and teaching started an early career as a horse trainer and a riding coach. She combined her natural horsemanship methods with her love of dressage and found that it created a stronger and more willing horse partner. Meg used her Chemistry/Biology BA and taught high school for several years before launching Bit of Hope Ranch in 2007. Since then, she has surrounded herself with a team of licensed professionals that are also committed to using horses to help people heal emotionally, physically and spiritually.
What Makes Our Method Work
The horses are always going to react to what we place in front of them. They are honest, unbiased and cannot lie. We may not like what we see, but that truth represents a growth opportunity.
Our Classes
H.A.L.T. Method
The H.A.L.T. Method teaches herd dynamics and how to use them in ground based therapy sessions for mental health, business coaching or leadership training.
Connect & Empower
Connect and Empower embraces the relationship building potential that we have with horses. This is a trauma focused model of therapy and relies on the connection that we can offer a horse.
